A controlled oilseed preparation and solvent extraction flow designed to separate oil from meal and produce value-added products.
Our oilseed processing operations follow a systematic and controlled approach designed to maximize extraction efficiency while maintaining consistent quality across our products.
We focus on efficient processing, responsible resource utilization, workplace safety and consistent product quality. Our operations are supported by appropriate technology, quality control practices and continuous improvement.
Oilseeds such as soybean are received, sampled and checked for relevant quality parameters before processing.
Foreign material and impurities are removed. The seed is prepared through conditioning, size reduction and other preparation steps required for efficient oil recovery.
Prepared oilseeds are conditioned and formed into flakes to improve contact between the oil-bearing material and extraction solvent.
Prepared flakes are contacted with a suitable food/industrial extraction solvent in a controlled extraction system. The solvent dissolves the oil, forming a solvent-oil mixture (miscella), while leaving largely defatted solids.
The oil-rich miscella is separated and processed through evaporation/stripping stages to recover solvent for reuse and obtain crude vegetable oil.
The extracted solids are treated to remove residual solvent and condition the meal. This produces de-oiled meal/cake suitable for further handling and quality control.
Recovered crude oil is clarified/handled as required, stored under appropriate conditions and prepared for dispatch to further refiners or industrial customers.
Conditioned de-oiled meal is cooled, handled and stored as Hi-Pro DOC, subject to applicable product specifications and quality checks.
Finished products are inspected and relevant quality parameters are tested before storage, loading and dispatch. Batch/lot information is maintained where applicable.
